Role Overview:
As a DevOps Engineer (Senior) on our Cloud Infrastructure team, you will lead the
deployment, management, and security of our cloud environments across GCP and
AWS with Kubernetes. You will design robust, scalable infrastructure to support our
secure container platform and vulnerability database services. Your expertise in
cloud architecture, Kubernetes orchestration, and security best practices will be
crucial in ensuring our production environments maintain the highest levels of
reliability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across GCP and AWS
- Create infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or similar
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments
- Implement security controls and best practices for cloud infrastructure
- Automate provisioning, scaling, and management of cloud resources
- Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies
- Manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for infrastructure
- Collaborate with development teams on infrastructure requirements
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
- Mentor junior team members on cloud infrastructure best practices
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related cloud infrastructure roles
- Strong experience with Kubernetes in production environments
- Expertise in GCP and AWS cloud services and best practices
- Experience with infrastructure as code and automation tooling
- Knowledge of network security, IAM, and cloud security principles
- Proficiency with Linux systems administration
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS)
- Cloud provider certifications (GCP Professional, AWS Professional)
- Experience with multi-cloud architecture
- Knowledge of container security and vulnerability management
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, etc.)
- Experience with observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
- Background in security engineering or secure infrastructure design
- Understanding of compliance requirements for cloud environments
