About the Role
We are looking for motivated individuals to join our Container Image Quality Assurance team. This role involves validating container images to ensure they are secure, reliable, and production ready. You will be working closely with DevOps and Security teams to scan, test, and validate images before release.
This is a great opportunity for freshers or early-career professionals to build expertise in Linux, Docker, DevOps pipelines, and container security testing while contributing to high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute manual test scripts for image validation.
- Execute automated test scripts for image validation.
- Perform functional and static testing across different architectures (AMD/ARM).
- Document test results, log issues, and track resolutions.
- Learn and assist in image validation workflows, including build checks, functional tests, and release comparisons.
- Support efforts to automate QA processes and reduce manual rework.
Skills & Qualifications
Core Skillset
- Basics of Python or Bash scripting.
- Strong foundation in Linux CLI.
- Understanding of YAML/JSON formats.
- Git basics (clone, commit, push).
- Eagerness to learn container tooling (Docker/Kubernetes).
Good to Have (Augmented Skillset)
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Interested in learning vulnerability scanning tools (Trivy, Grype).
- Familiarity with Linux package managers (apt, apk, rpm).
- Detail-oriented, process-driven, and curious mindset.
Performance Metrics (KPIs)
- Percentage of tasks completed without error.
- Timeliness of testing and validation activities.
- Quality of documentation and collaboration with team.
