Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Python Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain custom internal tools and automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python development and Docker containerization, with the ability to build scalable backend solutions that support our enterprise infrastructure and tooling ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and custom internal tools using Python.
• Build automation frameworks and CLI tools to streamline infrastructure operations and deployment workflows.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices architectures for internal platform services.
• Implement data processing pipelines and backend logic for custom tooling solutions.
• Write efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices and design patterns.

Containerization & Deployment

• Create and optimize Docker containers for Python applications and services.
• Integrate applications with container registries and artifact repositories.
• Work with container orchestration platforms for service deployment (Kubernetes experience is a plus).

Quality & Operations

• Implement comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, and automated testing frameworks.
• Debug and resolve issues in production and non-production environments.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Platform Engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 3–5 years of professional experience in Python backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Python 3.x and modern Python frameworks:
  • FastAPI, Flask, or Django for API development.
• Experience with async programming (asyncio, aiohttp).
• Expert-level Docker knowledge:
  • Writing optimized Dockerfiles and multi-stage builds.
  • Working with Docker Compose for local development.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and microservices architecture.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git, GitHub/GitLab workflows).
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Experience with Python testing frameworks (pytest, unittest, mock).
