KCD 2026: Connecting the Kubernetes Community Through Secure Software

Kubernetes Community Days (KCD) 2026 brought together developers, DevOps engineers, platform teams, cloud-native practitioners, and security professionals to exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore the future of cloud-native technologies.

CleanStart co sponsored KCD Delhi and got engaged with the Kubernetes community through interactive experiences, technical discussions, and practical conversations around secure software development.

Throughout the day, our booth became a hub for developers and DevOps practitioners looking to better understand how software supply chain security can be integrated into modern cloud-native workflows. Rather than focusing solely on product demonstrations, our team showcased real-world use cases and hands-on scenarios that reflected the security challenges engineering teams face every day. This community-first approach sparked meaningful conversations around securing containerized applications, improving software integrity, and adopting security practices that support rapid innovation.

A major highlight of the event was our lightning talk, "Shift Left Without Slowing Down," delivered to a full audience on the main stage. The session explored how organizations can embed security earlier in the software development lifecycle without creating friction for developers. As teams continue to accelerate software delivery, the discussion emphasized the importance of balancing developer productivity with strong security practices through automation, trusted software components, and secure-by-design principles.

To make the experience more engaging, we also introduced the TypeMaster Game, a mobile-friendly challenge created specifically for developers and DevOps professionals. The game attracted 170 participants, making it one of the highest engagement activities of the event and creating an enjoyable way to connect with the community beyond traditional booth interactions.

Another exciting initiative launched during the event was the CleanStart LinkedIn Community Group, created to keep the conversations going long after the conference ended. The community provides a space for developers, platform engineers, DevSecOps practitioners, and security professionals to continue sharing knowledge, discussing best practices, and learning from one another.

One of the most rewarding outcomes of KCD 2026 was the quality of conversations with attendees. Visitors shared real-world challenges from their engineering environments, asked thoughtful questions about software supply chain security, and showed strong curiosity around approaches that help reduce vulnerabilities while enabling faster software delivery.

We thank the KCD organizers and everyone who visited the CleanStart booth, joined our lightning talk, participated in the TypeMaster challenge, and became part of our growing community. Events like these reinforce the value of collaboration and knowledge sharing in helping organizations build secure, resilient, and cloud-native software for the future.
