Role Overview

At CleanStart, we are looking for a technically savvy and customer-focused Sales Engineer to join our growing team in Singapore. This role is critical in supporting our sales efforts across Southeast Asia by articulating the value of our cybersecurity SaaS solutions, particularly in the DevSecOps space. You will work closely with prospects, customers, and internal teams to deliver tailored technical solutions that address modern security challenges in cloud-native environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales to identify customer needs and propose effective cybersecurity and DevSecOps solutions.
  • Deliver engaging product demos, technical presentations, and workshops to prospects and partners.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions and translate business requirements into solution architecture.
  • Develop and present proof-of-concept (PoC) environments to showcase product capabilities.
  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires with accurate and compelling technical content.
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in cybersecurity and DevSecOps.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to relay customer feedback and influence product roadmap.
  • Support onboarding and handover to Customer Success and Implementation teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role within cybersecurity or DevSecOps.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native security, CI/CD pipelines, container security, and SaaS architectures.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, GitLab, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Skills & Competencies

  • Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CKS, AWS Certified Security).
  • Experience working with enterprise clients across Southeast Asia.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., MAS TRM, ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Fluency in English; additional regional languages a plus.
