About the Role
CleanStart is looking for experienced Senior DevOps Engineers to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline software delivery through automation, robust CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code practices. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on solving complex infrastructure challenges and driving engineering best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and GitHub Actions to enable fast and reliable software delivery.
- Architect and manage containerized environments using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible for consistent, repeatable, and auditable infrastructure provisioning.
- Automate operational tasks, monitoring, and deployment workflows using Python and Bash scripting.
- Collaborate with development teams to define deployment strategies, environment configurations, and release processes.
- Implement and enforce best practices for system reliability, security, scalability, and performance across cloud environments.
- Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot production issues, and drive root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Ensure infrastructure and deployment processes comply with security and compliance standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a strong DevOps culture within the organization.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and processes to improve engineering efficiency.
Required Skills and Experience
- 7-10 years of overall experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms - AWS and/or Azure (multi-cloud experience preferred).
- Proven expertise in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, and/or GitHub.
- Solid experience with containerization and orchestration - Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong command of Infrastructure as Code tools - Terraform and Ansible.
- Proficiency in scripting/automation using Python and Bash.
- Good understanding of networking, security, and system administration concepts in cloud environments.
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch) is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across cross-functional teams.
