CleanStart SBOM, in brief
An SBOM is only useful if the fields are filled in. Across popular tools, roughly half of SBOM fields land as NOASSERTION, with 88% missing supplier information, 95% missing build timestamps, and 60% missing dependencies. That leaves security teams with a compliance artifact that cannot actually answer the questions auditors, incident responders, and vendor risk reviewers ask, which produces missed vulnerabilities, weak compliance posture, and supply chain blind spots.
CleanStart SBOM closes those gaps with 99.2% field completeness (internal research, compared to Syft, Grype, and Tern at 37.5%, 50%, and 41%), commit-level provenance and build timestamps, support for 45+ ecosystems, full SPDX 3.0 and CycloneDX compliance, and throughput of 5,000+ containers per hour. Coverage runs across the fields that matter for EO 14028 (unique ID, hash, timestamp, author, dependencies, supplier, version, component name), including the two that most tools skip: transitive and shared libraries, and source traceability back to the commit that produced the build.
